Bethesda have rolled out an update to Fallout 76, which adds ProSnap Deluxe craftable cameras for users to document their in-game experiences, as well as the repair kits, which many players claim is a pure example of pay-to-win mechanic.
To get your mitts on the ProSnap Deluxe, you need to find "a broken one on the corpse of a tourist who met their end in the Wasteland."
Crafting it is done with a Tinker's Workbench. You can also craft mods, such as lenses, as well as additional film, which you need to take pictures of course.
Pressing the aim button points the ProSnap Deluxe, while fire shoots, and it will "display the names of nearby locations and creatures it recognizes in the viewfinder."
Additionally, acquiring the ProSnap Deluxe offers players a new Bucket List quest, which is optional, but will let you finish the tourist's photography collection.
Fallout 76 has also received a new consumable utility item called Repair Kit, which immediately restore the condition of an item in your inventory.
Repair Kits come in two variants - Basic and Improved, and it's actually the Basic one that seems problematic. Improved Repair Kits are rare items that are acquired only via in-game progression, which is currently limited to Scorchbeast Queen.
Basic Repair Kits, on the other hand, can only be purchased in the Atomic Shop, which is by definition pay-to-win but Bethesda don't seem to think so.
"While Repair Kits do offer a way to fix an item in the field, we feel you will find that they are a convenient option you can utilize during your adventures. If we find that Repair Kits do offer any sort of competitive advantage once they are available, we will make any changes necessary to ensure that advantage is removed", they wrote.
Fallout 76's new update also brings balance changes, such as Aluminum Oil Cans granting 1 Aluminum when scrapped, and its base value is up from 9 to 13 Caps, while Aluminum Trays and Empty Cans grant 2 Aluminum when scrapped, and their base value is up from 1 to 10 Caps.
There's a bunch of tweaks and bug fixes, which you can check out in the full patch notes.
