Respawn CEO Vince Zampella confirmed that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be a single-player game only, with no microtransactions and no multiplayer. Zampella said that it's a story game and it won't follow EA's usual live service model.

Today - 13 April 2019, we are finally getting a first look at Respawn Entertainment's and EA's brand new Star Wars game named Jedi Fallen Order. In the last couple of weeks, the game was subject of many speculations and leaks, from the Sekiro-like combat and multi-region open world to some story details.

We'll have to wait just a few more hours before we get the official confirmation on these details, but until then, let's focus on some legit info that was revealed by Respawn.

Vince Zampella, Respawn Entertainment CEO was one of the guests at Lucasfilm's The Star Wars Show which was held at Star Wars Celebration, and in his interview, Zampella shed some light on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game modes and monetisation.

He confirmed that the game won't have microtransactions and it's solely a single-player game without multiplayer. "It's a single-player story with no multiplayer and no microtransactions. It's a story game," Zampella explained.

Judging by the reaction of the crowd, many were happy to hear Zampella officially confirm this, especially the "no microtransactions" part, which brought a big cheer from the Star Wars fans.

While it's always good to hear that the developer and publisher opt for this monetisation option, it is an odd decision given that some reports claimed EA cancelled Visceral's Star Wars project because they couldn't implement any type of microtransactions.

You may remember that Amy Hennig helmed the project that was supposed to be a single player, action-adventure and story-based game, similar to Uncharted series. It's safe to say that Respawn's Star Wars sounds awfully similar to Visceral's and we wonder if EA had a change of heart and decided to just go with something different this time.

In Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, you will play as a padawan who survived after Order 66, the command that was initiated by Emperor Palpatine to wipe out all Jedi.
