Ubisoft have officially confirmed the release date for The Division 2's Operation Dark Hours raid. The first raid in the franchise's history will launch on 25 April 2019. Before that, The Division 2 will also get a couple of new additions.
Operation Dark Hours raid is certainly one of the most, if not the most anticipated The Division 2's feature. Ubisoft have been teasing the new content ever since the initial release and if you're excited to finally try the first raid in The Division franchise, you'll be happy to hear that Ubisoft finally revealed the release date.
In the latest trailer, which showcases the upcoming additions, the publisher also confirmed that the raid is launching on 25 April 2019. Unfortunately, the details about Operation Dark Hours are still pretty scarce. The trailer only shows a couple of gameplay shots from the raid and one of them includes a big army aeroplane flying over a group of players. Judging by that, the raid will take place on Washington D.C. airport.
Apart from the gameplay shots, Ubisoft once again confirmed that raids will support up to eight players and will emphasize expert coordination and teamwork. Some earlier leaks revealed that raids in The Division 2 could be a proper hardcore content, taking on a form of a gaming marathon.
According to some datamined files, to unlock one of the raid trophies, players will have to cross a certain area in less than an hour, meaning that the raid could last for a couple of hours.
Of course, Ubisoft did not confirm the length of the raid, but they did say that it will be extremely tough content and that they are releasing it later just to give players a chance to gear up for the challenge.
The Division 2 is also getting a fresh batch of content tomorrow - 05 April 2019. The update will include a brand new Stronghold named Tidal Basin, World Tier 5, two new Exotic weapons and the first three Gear Sets. You can read more about this update here.
