FromSoftware are known for their extremely challenging games that often pull cheap shots on their players as well as kooky moments in said games. Combining both of those provided a major WTF moment for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice streamers.
When just about every streamer has an almost identical reaction at the same part of a game, you know it's either a madman or an absolute genius who created it. Considering FromSoftware games are brilliant but at the same time often well suited for scrambling one's brains in a rage induced by cheap shots in already hard games, it could be a bit of both when it comes to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
At one point in the game, players will encounter agile feathered enemies that have both ranged and melee attacks. Given that they featured feathers, one could imagine where the next surprise threat would come from. Well, in hindsight anyway.
Just after fighting two of these nightmares, players are greeted by a hilariously cruel prank by FromSoftware in the form of the third bridie boy that literally charges Okami from the sky at a blinding speed and screaming "WoooOOoooOoo" all the while.
As you can imagine, the hilarious sighs and reactions of defeat ensued among anyone who decided to share their woes while streaming Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. In most cases, the streamers reacted with a variation of "WTF" in its full form, usually followed by a series of profanities uttered in surprise and disbelief.
The Russian streamer, Insize, seemingly took the longest to recover from the surprise as he kept cursing during his entire escape after the avian assault. On the other hand, he did escape a feathered demise, so kudos for keeping the cool where it mattered.
While Souls and Bloodborne series were not devoid of surprises that would be quite impossible to dodge during the first playthrough, we would be hard pressed to remember one that looked, sounded and prompted reactions that were as hilarious as the ridiculously sounding nightmarish-feudal-Japanese-looking Owlman.
