Epic Games have released update 8.11 for Fortnite Battle Royale which brings the new Flint-Knock Pistol, brings back Impulse Grenades from the vault and changest the Limited-Time Mode to One Shot sniper fiesta, among other changes.
Fortnite's Flint-Knock Pistol will be a great early game weapon and it will be found in Common and Uncommon rarities. Its damage will be quite high with 86 points per hit, but only at close range as the weapon will have a severe damage drop-off.
It will use heavy ammo and the brutish nature of this pistol will cause knockback for any enemies hit in close range. Players will also get knocked back, but this can be countered by crouching, in which case no backwards movement will happen.
Since the reload time is three seconds and Flint-Knock requires one after each shot, it will most likely serve as an opener that is supposed to give an edge in early game, after which a player should follow up with a different weapon to finish the enemy.
Impulse Grenade is the old new addition as it has been unvaulted. The grenade is unchanged for the most part but it will now apply 344 per cent more force to vehicles. Epic Games seem to have no love for vehicles lately as explosive weapons' force has also been increased by 233 per cent against them. On top of that Baller's spawn rate has been halved.
Scoped Assault Rifle saw some love as the damage has been buffed to 27/26 from 24/23. On the other hand, it will not appear in the new LTM, One Shot as it would evidently require two shots to kill a target since all players will have 50 health in it.
To ensure proper one hit kills, Epic made the sniper the only available weapons in this mode. Low gravity should ensure players get a proper view of the battlefield as they can find a crow's nest just about anywhere since they can leap tall buildings in a single bound.
