NetherRealm Studios officially shared the start date and time for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will get access on 28 March 2019, while PC players won't get the chance to participate.
Mortal Kombat 11 release date is just around the corner, and to give players a chance to try out some of the moves and fatalities before the game arrives, the developer NetherRealm Studios are hosting a closed beta test in just over a week.
The start date for the closed beta is set for 27 March 2019 15:00 GMT / 08:00 PST and only those who pre-ordered Mortal Kombat 11 will get to participate. NetherRealm first announced the closed beta earlier this month and only PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms were mentioned without even a slight hint that PC players could also get their chance to try the upcoming fighter.
Unfortunately, the latest announcement doesn't mention the PC version either, and as things stand at the moment, Mortal Kombat 11 beta will be available only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
We checked on Mortal Kombat 1's1 website, and on the pre-order page, but NetherRealm seem to have made it clear that the closed beta is not coming to PC. Same goes for the Nintendo Switch version which won't be included in the closed beta test.
There is still no mention of the closed beta content, which includes details about the number of fighters and arenas. The game modes that players will get to try are also a mystery but online and local multiplayer should be included.
Mortal Kombat 11 closed beta will run until 01 April 2019, and you can check the specific start and end dates for various time zones in the picture below.
NetherRealm recently hosted a stress test for players in North America, and this one was also available only on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Mortal Kombat 11 is hitting the shelves on 23 April 2019 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
