Fatshark have added Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to a growing list of games that will have a free weekend starting with 07 March 2019. This one will last until Sunday, 10 March 2019 and will have a 60 per cent discount attached for the duration.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 free weekend will end in the middle of Sunday, to many American players' dismay. The deadline is 13:00 PDT or 21:00 CET so the European players will technically still get a proper free "weekend" while the American ones will have Friday, Saturday and half a Sunday. Keep in mind that European players' free period started later but it simply aligns better with an actual weekend.

The 60 per cent discount will bring the price of standard edition to $12 / €11,20 / £9.52 which will net you the standard game. Fatshark are also offering a collector's edition which will cost $18 / €16,80 / £12.80 for the duration of the discount. Some players didn't deem it worthy of the extra money but those who like skins might prefer to have it. On top of the extra skins, this edition will add an exclusive portrait frame, and exclusive heroic deed and a few digital goodies.

If you haven't tried the game before, it basically plays similar to Left 4 Dead series. You can either go solo or team up with other players and take on hordes of enemies. In this case you will not be fighting zombies but mostly humanoid bestial creatures and will have different classes with more of a medieval theme instead of raining down bullets from modern weaponry.

Fatshark keep updating the game on a regular basis and a few content packs will have to be paid for so keep that in mind while making your decision on whether to buy Vermintide 2 or not.

Vermintide 2 is currently sitting on "Mostly Positive" review score on Steam as 74 per cent users liked the game but some of them left a steady stream of negative reviews lately as Easy AntiCheat apparently kept banning players for no valid reason. Looks like Apex Legends isn't the only game that has issues with EAC.
