NetherRealm Studios have rolled out a story trailer for their upcoming fighter Mortal Kombat 11 and it features a bunch of returning cast members, in all sorts of new and old flashy garments. When we say old, that goes for fighters as well.
As you can see, Mortal Kombat 11's story trailer revisits some already confirmed characters like Johnny Cage, Kabal and so on, but also has a few previously unconfirmed like Cassie Cage, Jacqui Briggs, Erron Black, Kotal Kahn, etc.
Well, unconfirmed unless you've one caught one of earlier Mortal Kombat 11 leaks, which blew the lid on the entire roster. Of course, it's not really a time to be blindly believing everything that claims it's a leak but in this case, the leaksters were pretty spot on it seems.
If the antagonist's name, Kronika The Keeper of Time, didn't already give you a hint, we've got a time travelling story here, and nobody can guarantee staying serious when two Johnny Cages are at it. Yeah, we know, one's normally more than enough.
It appears that NetherRealm went out of their way to make story play as cool as possible and if the trailer is anything to go by, Mortal Kombat 11 will not just be a visual spectacle.
Unfortunately for Scooby Doo enthusiasts, Shaggy won't be making his way into Mortal Kombat 11, not for the lack of trying by the fans mind you.
In case you haven't been following, the game's director had his own dig at Shaggy's superpowers, which followed a quickly growing fan petition, even involving Matthew Lillard, the actor who played Shaggy in the movie.
Unfortunately, it all ended in tears for the Shaggy crowd and it was definitely confirmed he won't be making his way into Mortal Kombat 11.
If, however, you're hell-bent on trying out Shaggy's recently acquired powers, you may have to switch fighting games, as some modders took it upon themselves to make him in Jump Force, using Dragonball's Vegeta as the basis of Scooby Doo's cowardly sidekick.
