Rockstar revealed a new set of Red Dead Online beta additions, launching today - 05 March 2019. The new update re-introduces a powerful Evans Repeater rifle and adds a couple of new free roam events including the new Fool's Gold event.
Following the last week's update which introduced new gameplay changes, bug fixes and balancing tweaks to Red Dead Online beta, Rockstar are releasing another patch with a couple of new additions.
The new update is launching today - 05 March 2019, and it adds Evans Repeater rifle, Fool's Gold free roam event along with a couple of new events spread across the Red Dead Online's five states.
If you played the original Red Dead Redemption, you'll probably remember John Marston's powerful long-range rifle Evans Repeater. It's available for purchase trough Rawson, Wheeler & Co catalogue or at any Gunsmith. The rifle has a high fire rate and it's deadly at medium and long distances. It also has three customisation options for stock, sights and wraps.
As for the Fool's Gold event, you'll get to fight other players for the unique Golden Armour. Taking out those who wear the armour will reward players with points and put the armour up for grabs to whoever reaches it first.
On top of this event, Rockstar also introduced a range of other free roam events. In Cold Dead Hands, players will have to fight for control over a target for the longest amount of time. Master Archer will test players' accuracy while in King of the Castle players will compete to gain and maintain control of an area.
There's also a Dispatch Rider event in which players will race to be the first to deliver a horse to the assigned destination.
Rockstar is also gifting a special care package to all players who participate in Red Dead Online beta during this week. The package is redeemable at the in-game post office or your camp’s lockbox and it includes ammo, lake lure, horse medicine and chewing tobacco.
On top of that, anyone who completes five Daily Challenges until 11 March 2019 will get one Special Spinner fishing lure.
