In their latest development update, Creative Assembly confirmed that their Sofia division are working on a new Total War Saga title. The development just reached its first milestone and CA are planning to share more info in the coming year.
Creative Assembly have once again shared a detailed development update in which they list what exactly the development teams have been working on in the previous month. According to the post, Total War fans will have a lot to look forward to as multiple projects are gearing up for release. Moreover, a brand new title is also in the works.
It is the new Total War Saga title and it's being developed by the same division that brought us Total War Saga: Thrones of Britania - Creative Assembly Sofia. Unfortunately, there isn't much detail about the new title so far, only that the development process has recently reached its first milestone and that the developers are "starting to see more and more of what it will look like".
Creative Assembly also confirmed that they will be able to share more details about the game "in the coming year".
Furthermore, the latest post also includes a development update on the upcoming Total War Three Kingdoms. One of the new changes that will see the light of day with the new Total War game is the redesigned battle prediction system that will now be "entirely deterministic".
This means that you'll be able to see the exact outcome of the battle if you choose to auto-resolve it. As Creative Assembly explain, "when you choose to delegate a battle and you’re predicted, say, a pyrrhic victory, that’s exactly what you’ll get."
You'll also get an option to see a quick balance of power simply by selecting your army and mousing over another, be it an ally or enemy army.
Total War Warhammer 2 Lord Pack DLC is in the works as previously speculated, and it will be the next content released for Total War series. In addition, the DLC could also add a new feature for one of the Warhammer 1 races "that’ll have you bending the knee".
