New World Interactive have announced a content update that will refresh Insurgency Sandstorm as it will bring five new weapons along with several new game modes that will be on rotation in Arcade and general performance improvements.
Insurgency Sandstorm's first content update brings along five new weapons. Security will get PF940 pistol, MP5A5 submachine gun and M240B machine gun. Insurgents will get MP5A2 submachine gun and MG3 machine gun. All of these weapons are pictured above, except the machine guns, which you can find on the picture below.
New World Interactive will be looking to keep things fresh by adding new game modes on regular basis as they pump them into Arcade. These modes will be on rotation as not all of them will be available at the same time, making sure that players are never spread too thin across different modes which could cause longer queue time.
The first mode that will debut with Arcade is Team Deathmatch. It is a classic that found its way into many shooters over the years so there is no point explaining how it works. A few mechanics were added due to Insurgency Sandstorm's nature, so players will have access to all weapons and upgrades in Team Deathmatch, regardless of whether they play as Security or Insurgents.
Since Team Deathmatch is a quicker mode than what Insurgency players may be used to, there will be an increase in supply points so players can make their selections faster. As soon as they have their loadout, they are thrown into the match where the team that gets first to the kill cap wins.
More modes will be made available as time goes on as New World Interactive will probably be looking to boost their player count.

Speaking of which, the developers are also celebrating the 500.000 player milestone. This caused them to put a 20 per cent discount on the game, which will be available until 05 March 2019.
