Hitman 2's first mission is now available for free download as part of Hitman 2 Starter Pack. Players will get to eliminate high-value targets in limited-time event Elusive Target. Starter Pack will also include new, upcoming content.

IO Interactive are offering players a chance to take the role of Agent 47 in his assassination adventures for free. The promotion is part of newly announced Hitman 2 Free Starter Pack, a download that will give everyone access to the game’s first mission in its entirety.

Hitman 2's first mission is named Nightcall and it's set in a small oceanside property in Hawke’s Bay, New Zeland. It's up to you to infiltrate the property and successfully eliminate certain targets.

If it happens that Hitman 2 is your cup of tea and you decide to purchase it, earned progression in Hawke's Bay will carry over to the full game.

Along with the Hitman 2's first mission, Starter Pack owners will also get to eliminate high-value targets in the limited-time event called Elusive Target.

The Politician is the name of the upcoming Elusive Target and according to the mission description, players will have to locate and eliminate Dame Barabara, "a New Zealand tycoon and a disgraced former Minister of Trade" who was forced to resign after her shady charity "funding" was discovered.

Players will have to be hawk-eyed on this one though, as her body double can also be found in Hawke's Bay. Starter Pack owners will get an equal chance to take down the target just like those who purchased the game. You get one shot, but if it happens that you fail during the mission, she'll be gone for good. And we mean for good.

The Politician will run from 8 to 17 March 2019. You can find the Hitman 2 Free Starter Pack on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation stores. Hitman 2 is also 37 per cent off from the regular price and it's available for just $38.

IO Interactive recently removed Denuvo from Hitman 2 Steam version so you'll also get higher frame rates without the anti-tamper technology.
