Capcom have announced that Resident Evil 0, Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Remastered would be ported to Nintendo Switch back in October 2018 but went radio silent, until recently, when more info on the ports was confirmed for February.

Capcom's UK community manager for Resident Evil and Dragon's Dogma originally announced the ports on 26 October 2018, but several months have passed and no new info surfaced since then. Not everyone forgot about the announcement though and a few fans asked Kat whether she had any new info on the promised ports.

She eventually stated that more information about all three ports would arrive at the end of February 2019 but no exact date was given. This doesn't come as much of a surprise as Capcom had their hands full with preparing for the launch of Resident Evil 2 Remake which released on 25 January 2019.

With Resident Evil 2 release and its subsequent bonus modes out of the way, Capcom can focus on Nintendo Switch ports but there is no release date available yet. Unfortunately for Switch owners, Resident Evil 2 Remake is not coming to the hand-held console.

While Kat simply stated there were no plans for a Switch version of Resident Evil 2 Remake, fans kept asking whether it was a possibility in the future. She didn't give a definitive answer but did state that even future plans are unlikely to happen.

The tweet chain continued with various questions about other Resident Evil instalments coming to Switch, but since none of them were mentioned in the original post nor did Kat reply to them, it is highly unlikely Capcom has any immediate plans for the likes of Resident Evil 5 on Nintendo's console.

It is possible that Bowser ate the drives developers' port work was on, as a part of his diabolical Nintendo takeover. He did tie up Mario and Luigi already, after all. The more likely reason for no such port at the moment is that Chris broke his arm while punching boulders so he will be indisposed for a while.
