Epic Games lay out Fortnite Creative roadmap for 2019

New years bring new challenges and although you could argue Epic Games have got plenty on their plate with Fortnite: Battle Royale and the Epic Games Store, they still found the time to lay out what 2019 brings to Fortnite Creative.

Writing in the Fortnite creative blog, Epic said that Fortnite Creative is still in its infant stage and that the company are trying to provide players with all "the tools [they] need to make anything [they] can imagine". 

Fortnite's 7.20 update has already started with this, as it added elimination zones, sentries and Last One Standing settings.

In the following months, Fortnite Creative players can expect a bunch of tools where Epic will be "trading off polish and perfection for speed" so that players' creativity is as unhindered as possible.

"The Prefab system is an example of this, which could have been a full content browser of pieces if we had a bit more time. By holding on individual piece selection, we were able to launch a few months earlier than planned", the company wrote.

Fortnite Creative will soon be getting greater control over voice chat configuration, so that you can freely group players on your island, regardless of the team they're on.

Unlike its Battle Royale counterpart, Fortnite Creative's team will be looking to hold onto as many weapons, even some that are vaulted from the former. Well, as many as possible at least and we know that Grappler, for one, is one of the weapons that apparently ain't leaving the mode. 

All in all, Fortnite Creative seems to be growing into a beast of its own and, as we've come to expect from Epic's relentless dev team, you should expect plenty of novelties to keep you entertained.

Epic Games also reminded players that their feedback and input is greatly appreciated, as the company's prefered way of making games is working closely with the community and content creators. They're closely monitoring all their social channels by the way so if you've got any gripes, you can't go wrong whichever channel you opt for.
