Ubisoft have released a new 1.0.7 update for Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Some of the new features included in the patch are increased level cap which is now set at 70, character customization options, balancing and various bug fixes.
Ubisoft have been teasing some of the features that are included in the 1.0.7 update over the previous weeks. The biggest one is the increased level cap.
Until now, players were able to level up their character up to 50, but with today's update the number's been increased to 70. For those who hit the level 50 before the update, the gained experience will be retroactively added to their total.
Another major feature is the visual customisation or Transmog which will allow players to change the looks of their gear and weapons while keeping the original stats and perks. Ubisoft explained that whenever players get their hands on a new piece of equipment its visuals will be added to the pool of selectable appearances.
This feature will also allow players to apply appearance from any item, regardless of their rarity or level. However, there are some understandable limitations as you'll only get to choose visuals from same category meaning you won't be able to apply sword visuals to bow or spear.
A new detailed Mercenary Benefits page has been added to the Mercenary Menu. The page will cover all tier benefits and statuses whether they're unlocked or not.
Smart Loot System has seen some minor improvements. Players will now receive more loot that suits their playstyle. Ubisoft also addressed the issue that prevented Mercenary Live Events from appearing on the map. The patch also fixes quest progressions issues for Home Sweet Home, Perikles' Symposium, and Mother's Prayers questlines.
The 1.0.7 update follows the addition of new late-game boss Steropes the Cyclops which was introduced to the Assassin's Creed Odyssey world on 13 November 2018. Find more on the one-eyed giant here.
