The long-awaited mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One was added in Microsoft's latest update. Fortnite and Warframe are the only titles to support the newest feature with 5 more games coming in November and another 7 at later date.

Microsoft have released the latest update for Xbox One consoles for November 2018 and with it we finally get the much-requested mouse and keyboard support. As they already announced at XO18, players can now use most wireless or wired USB mouse and keyboard set on their Xbox One to play one of the two available games - Fortnite and Warframe.

Following these two, mouse and keyboard support is coming later this month for Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Warhammer: Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense. Microsoft have also announced a second batch of games is coming soon and it will include Children of Morta, DayZ, Minion Master, Moonlighter, Vigor, Warface and Wargroove.

When it comes to matchmaking and input-type advantages in multiplayer games, Epic have revealed they will match players by input type which means controller users will play against each other and same goes for mouse and keyboard users.

In the update notes, Microsoft have also shed some light on the new mouse and keyboard set they're working on with Razer. The "Designed for Xbox" set will be built for Windows 10 and Xbox One from the ground up and will feature a dedicated Xbox key as well as Xbox Dynamic Lightning. More news about the product will be revealed at the Consumers Electronics Show 2019.
