Epic have rolled out the 6.22 update to Fortnite: Battle Royale, which adds a new heavy hitting gun dubbed the heavy assault rifle and as Fortnitemares came to an end, players can indulge in Team Terror, a brand new co-op limited time mode.
Fortnitemares is done so the pumpkin launcher is reverting back to the rocket launcher but there's plenty of other changes. We'll start with the heavy assault rifle, which comes in rare epic and legendary flavours, dealing 44, 46 and 48 damage, respectively. It comes with 25 bullets in the mag and sports a 3.75 fire rate.
Fortnite's new limited time mode event is called Team Terror, where two teams of 32 players duke it out amongst themselves, with a healthy dose of cube monsters joining the fight. Of course, the goal is still wrecking the other team but the monsters are likely to make things a bit more difficult than usual.
Epic wrote that monster spawners are scattered across the map, with additional ones spawning as the storm circles close in. Resource farming has been increased by 75 per cent, floor loot spawn chances by 15 per cent, floor loot ammo doubled, ammo box yields tripled and to top things off - monsters can drop weapons and ammo. Additionally, gold monsters and monster spawners drop legendary items, while supply drops spawn double ammo, extra consumable, resource drop and trap.
Fortnite's Blitz LTM is making a return and it's just like the name says - the storm is closing from the moment the match starts, which means you better have a good plan right from the get-go. We're talking about significantly shorter storm circles and a hefty increase in loot and harvesting yields, ensuring for a hectic frag-a-palooza in the field.
Making sure to get in on some NFL action, Epic Games have announced that as of 09 November 2018, all 32 of NFL team outfits, plus an additional Fortnite flavoured one, will be featured in the game's store, just in case you like to show off your colours in-game.
