EA and DICE have posted the real-time minimum, recommended and Nvidia's real-time raytracing requirements for their sort-of-historically-accurate shooter Battlefield V and the latter will require quite the horsepower, as you'd expect.
On the minimum side of the Battlefield V requirements spectre, players will suffice with AMD FX-8350 or Intel's Core i5 6600K, coupled with an RX 560 or HD 7850 2GB on AMD's side or GeForce GTX 1050 or GTX 660 2GB for Nvidia fans. The game's requirement for the installation is, of course, identical for all three and stands at 50GB of available disk space.
DICE have been showing off Battlefield V's ray tracing capabilities for a while now and even though they ultimately had to ease off it a bit, it will be there. Touted by Nvidia as the next best thing, probably not because of its hardware, wink wink, Battlefield V was one of few games used to demonstrate the RTX series' capabilities at Nvidia's demo in Cologne.
Nevertheless, players will have to wait for the day one patch, because DICE said the game will not have it immediately at launch. Even though the tech requires quite the muscle to run, the dev went "very wide with a lot of cores to offload that work", so the more cores you have, the better your performance will be.
As you can see, Battlefield V's requirements for real-time raytracing are quite souped-up, starting with the choice of CPUs. The game's fans are advised to either get AMD's Ryzen 7 2700 or Intel's Core i7 8700. The recommended graphics card is, of course, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 2070, which although not the top model in the upcoming series, still costs a pretty penny.
DICE have recently confirmed eight maps that will be there at launch, rolling out a teaser trailer too, which you can check out here. If you were hoping to dip into its battle royale mode though, you'll have to wait until March 2019.
