No one's taking the throne from Rockstar's giant in the strongest second-week sales in 2018. Red Dead Redemption 2 has retained the lead with the likes of FIFA 19 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 following behind in second and third place.
After breaking the record for the best opening weekend in the history of games, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues with strong second week sales in the UK physical sales chart. Rockstar's giant has become the best selling game of 2018 in the second week, better even than EA's FIFA 19.
Of course, we expected a continuation of a high number sales for Red Dead Redemption 2 and with no big games on PS4 in the past week, the path was clear for the critically acclaimed western to retain the lead. Futuristic racer Grip and horror RPG Call of Cthulhu along with FM 2019 on PC were the only meaningful releases and with all due respect, none of them will come even close to challenge Red Dead Redemption 2 for the first spot.
Psychical sales have dipped by 51 per cent compared to its opening weekend but that's somewhat expected after such a colossal debut. The chart is being dominated by the big guns, with the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on second and FIFA 19 in third place, while Marvel's Spiderman still goes strong in solid fourth.
Sports Interactive's simulation Football Manager 2019 has made a place for itself on the chart with an impressive first-week performance. The full top ten is included below.
