Encouraged by the positive response they received after the Next update, Hello Games is bringing another piece of free content for all No Man's Sky fans out there. The Abyss will take you to the unknown and show you the terrifying.

After launching the Next update a couple of months ago, Hello Games has somewhat succeeded in turning the tide to their favour. The Next update has been a breath of fresh air with many fixes, visual improvements and content that players desperately sought and has been received with a positive response. Hello Games is looking to continue improving that relationship and to do so, they're bringing another free update called The Abbys.

Sadly, It's not the recreation of James Cameron's sci-fi classic from 1989, but The Abyss has its own thing with a new darker story that'll take you to the deepest parts of the ocean in search of lost souls trapped in unexplored ancient ruins. As you venture deeper into the ocean you'll stumble upon some terrifying creatures wandering the depths and darkness of the ocean floor.

If treasure hunting is your thing, deep beneath the waves lies an untouchable ancient treasure and lost cargo from crashed freighters. You'll find rare starships which can be repaired and restored to the skies.

All this talk about saving lost souls in underwater ancient ruins, ocean exploration and treasure hunting and not a single mention about the tools of the trade? The Nautilon is a new exocraft submarine that'll help you master the ocean depths. You get to upgrade it with various gadgets to make your aquatic life easier and it's fully customisable if being different than the others is your style.
