Microsoft have confirmed that Crackdown 3 will be playable at X018, which will start on 10 November 2018. This confirmation came as a relief to the fans who have been waiting almost a decade, as it means game should meet the deadline.
Mexican branch of Xbox were the ones to bring the good news to Crackdown fans as they announced that Crackdown 3 "joins the list of games that have not been released and will be available during #XboxFanFest". The news came via Xbox Mexico Twitter, with many fans cheering the announcement, while others kept asking about Kingdom Hearts 3.
Crackdown 3 was initially scheduled for release in 2016, then delayed to November 2017 release alongside Xbox One X, and then delayed once again to an unspecified date in 2018. As you may be well aware, this turned out to not be the case, as the game got pushed once again, to February 2019.
Considering players will be able to get a taste during X018, game might be going gold soon, if it hasn't already, which would mean that fourth time is the charm and Microsoft's studios might finally meet the deadline on the elusive shooter game.
Crackdown 3 will be set 10 years after the events of Crackdown 2, so at this point Microsoft could have waited for another year and match the lore with a similar year gap in real life. On the bright side, the game's promo material has Terry Crews on it, which is never a bad thing.
There is one feature in particular that fans have been yearning to see - multiplayer destruction mode. Microsoft teased this mode long ago, but we have never seen it in action. X018 might prove to be the first look at this mode, so at least the fans won't walk out of the convention empty handed.
Hopefully, they will not be met with yet another delay though, as the game has slightly fewer of them than a mound has ants. X018 will take place on 10 and 11 November 2018, so keep your eyes peeled if you're interested in Delaytown 3.
