Fortnite: Battle Royale, Season 6 teaser

Epic Games have posted the first teaser for Fortnite's upcoming Season 6, writing "All great parties need a DJ". While we're not really sure what they mean exactly, one thing can be said for certain - Fortnite's future is purple alright.

Of course, the purple thing is no coincidence, since Fortnite's cube sported the same shade, before it sank to the bottom of Loot Lake and turned it purple as well. Loot Lake inherited the cube's bounciness as well so landing on it is like landing on a trampoline, minus the cube's shield recharge perk.

Epic confirmed that there's only three days left in Season 5, so we're likely to see a bunch of fan theories until then, as has already become tradition. Unfortunately for Fortnite's conspiracy theorists, most of the guesses for Season 4 and 5 had something to do with mythology, be it Mayan or Egyptian, neither of which hit the mark at the time.

Interestingly enough, some locations of Fortnite's map now clearly sport the purple haze I've noticed in the replay mode back when I was talking about Loot Lake's new look. At the time, firing up the replay mode didn't show Loot Lake as purple but that seems to have been fixed in the meantime.

As you can see on the image below, six or seven Fortnite locations have a purple haze over them, which are clearly visible from the air. All of them are situated between larger POIs, with the exception of Wailing Woods, even though its haze is in the woods rather than on the centre of the location.

Now I won't feign I understand what this means because chasing Epic's games has proven to be a fruitless task for the most part. Nevertheless, we'll be on the prowl for any interesting fan theories that may pop up, because we often tend to enjoy those more than Fortnite's official reveals.

That's not to say that Epic don't deserve any credit for their meticulous staging of Fortnite's Season 5, which has truly been impressive. It's just that we really enjoy mythology-savvy Fortniters letting their imaginations run free.
