Treyarch and Activision seem to have decided to spice up the successful open beta for their upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. This particular beta featured the battle royale mode Blackout, which was extended to 100 players recentl

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's battle royale has been very well received by those who played it in the open beta so far even though it is somewhat smaller than the genre's giants PUBG and Fortnite. Namely, Blackout featured "only" 80 players up to this point but the positive feedback has tempted Treyarch to experiment a bit more with it.

The developers have announced that the open beta would be extended by two hours and would support additional 20 players until it ran through. This brought Blackout up to par with PUBG and Fortnite as the mode finally featured 100 players in the battle to the death.

While this is evidently good news, not everyone received them well as the timing was rather unfortunate for some players. The new deadline was 12 PM PST which would translate to 09:00 AM CEST so European players would have to either wake up early before work or just miss the extended player cap entirely until 12 October 2018, provided Treyarch decide to actually implement it in the final game.

They did state the several game aspects are a subject to change still, including the player cap in a single match, which could gradually increase over time while making sure it doesn't impede the game's performance.

Meanwhile, fans on consoles are requesting a change for inventory UI so it looks like the one on PC which could also happen but the developer didn't yet confirm nor deny if this change will be in the game at launch.

Another commonly requested change was to nerf the level 3 armour as it provided too much protection according to some players. Treyarch were hesitant to nerf it just yet, but they did announce it will spawn at about 25 per cent rate it did in beta so it will be a rare prize to fight over.
