Bud Spencer & Terence Hill have made their debut on PC back in December 2017, with full release on 20 April 2018 but they have now made their way to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch as well. Let the console slapping commence.

Console release will see only digital copies for all three platforms, and will cost $19,99 / €19,99 / £15.49. The game is a pixel art beat 'em up featuring the two legends of spaghetti westerns that apparently enjoy munching on beans as much as they love breathing.

Trinity Team have done a good job replicating Bud Spencer and Terence Hill's signature moves as you can often see Bud slapping enemies around and knocking their heads together while Terence likes to use environments to employ his mule kicks as well as chandelier swings.

The game has a rather extensive localisation, featuring Italian, German, Hungarian, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Danish, Czech, Russian, Chinese and Japanese languages. This alone speaks volumes of the developers' dedication to bring fans' wishes to fruition, but it has to be mentioned that they also specifically added Beer & Sausages minigame at players' request.

Bud Spencer & Terence Hill have been extremely well received by players on Steam, as 94 per cent reviews are positive, while a fair chunk of the negative ones is outdated with players calling for some issues to get updated. Needless to say, they were indeed updated in later versions of the game.

It's noteworthy that the combat in Bud Spencer & Terence Hill is fairly simplistic, and the game serves more as a love letter to the movies many gamers grew up with. It is filled with tributes, but the combat might feel a little underwhelming at times.

Considering the game is done in pixel art and PC requirements are accordingly low, it is to be expected it will run without on high frame rates without a hitch on all of the three consoles. Happy slapping.
