Epic Games have kicked off Fortnite' Season 5 weekly challenges in a brand new format, where the first four challenges come free to all players, while the other three are reserved for Fortnite: Battle Royale's Battle Pass holders.

Fortnite's Battle Pass holders will automatically receive two skins, Drift and Huntress. Further grinding and levelling up will unlock new style options for the Drift at 10K, 25K, 50K, 100K and 200K XP.

You should recognise Drift from Fortnite's Season 5 trailer, also above, as he's the guy fixin' up the Durrr Burger towards the end of the clip. So Epic's climbing in your windows, snatching your people up so you know the drill.

Starting with the free ones, Epic's first Fortnite challenge is dealing 500 damage with SMGs, while the second one is popping open a single loot llama. Thankfully llamas are useful for much more than a puny challenge, so we've included a convenient little map for you.

Third and the last free Fortnite challenge is killing three opponents with clingers, stink bombs or grenades. Note that this is the only weekly challenge classified as hard, so it rakes in ten battle stars, whereas easy challenges only earn six.

Moving on to Fortnite's Battle Pass challenges, where the first one is searching seven chests in Snobby Shores. I seem to recall Epic cutting back on the number of chest spawns in the location, so you'll probably require more than a single drop.

The second paid challenge is searching floating lightning bolts, which function just as any chest would do. However, they're floating in the air so you may want to make sure the air is clear before you head for them. You can find their locations across Fortnite's island on the map below.

The treasure map in Risky Reels is attached to the fence and shouldn't be hard to find, then it's a matter of simple following directions. The last, but not the least, is eliminating three opponents in Retail Row.

Note that the llama drop research has been conducted by a reddit user Overwatchero4 - we've simply overlaid it over the regular map. The areas with most red spawn most of them, although you may want to use the map as a guideline, rather than a rulebook.
