Beamdog have released 2.5 update notes for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. This re-release of a beloved classic was well received but still had a ton of issues and over 500 of them were fixed in this patch, on top of added features.
Update 2.5 will be somewhat delayed on the Mac App Store, but it is on the way regardless. It has been deployed to Steam, GoG and Google Play App Store so far. Beamdog have noted that some platforms are slower to update than others and called for patience in case some players don't see the update at first.
The update brought four new localisations to Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition - Simplified Chinese, Korean, Russian and Polish. New voiceovers were also added for German, Italian and Polish languages.
Devs have added a pile of quality of life updates as well, such as road to 2.0 community portraits, tablet dialogue buttons, Priest of Tempus kit, "Take All" button when looting containers and improved multiplayer stability. Some new features include Hexxat now being able to survive the final Throne of Bhaal encounter, importing a ranger now allows the selection of a Racial Enemy and Tenser's Transformation no longer disables innate spells.
A new AI script (type in OHFIXTTYR) can be used by players to fix their existing Priest of Tyr characters to the new kit value. Existing priests of Tyr can now continue through the game with no further issues. When exporting a character, players can simply use this script and press "D".
There is also the list of 500+ fixes that Beamdog mentioned, which is evidently a teeny tiny little bit too much to type into an article, so if you want to read all of them, you can visit the official blog post.
The developers have mentioned more possible news about 2.5 updates to Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear. These updates will be relayed on Beamdog's official social media. Until then, happy fix reading.
