Cyberpunk 2077's trailer landed on E3 and caused everyone to loose their marbles. CD Projekt Red showed the game's pretty world and gave it a little bit of narrative but they also hid several messages, one hinting at a gameplay preview.

CD Projekt Red didn't really waste time to start dropping hidden messages, as one popped up a few seconds into the "hacking" sequence before the actual trailer. The message said "w3 134V3 9R33d 2 0TH3r2". When translated from leetspeak it reads "we leave greed to others" which is a slogan that originated in an interview with CD Projekt Red months ago and they have been using it since. You can find the message in this video at 0:31 timestamp.

This turned out to be just the tip of the iceberg, as other fans started catching glimpses of a wall of text that CD Projekt Red also hid. People eventually pieced it together and it revealed some interesting info, such as the statement about character creation reading, "You'll be able to create your own character and..., well, you'll get to know the rest from what we show at our booth at E3. Be on the lookout for previews!".

The trailer itself was shown during Microsoft's E3 press conference, so there are still the PC Gaming Show and Sony's press conference that will have opportunities for the game to show up and eventually offer us a glimpse of gameplay.

Unfortunately the hidden text didn't have any info on the potential release date of Cyberpunk 2077 and neither did Mike Pondsmith. On the other hand, it's still nice to see a developer poking fun at microtransactions, which they continued by saying "Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?".

CD Projekt Red also asked fans for a bit more patience and stated that while they can't provide an actual release date, they are "much closer to a release date than [they] were back then". You can read the entire text on reddit.
