Blizzard have announced that past brawls and cosmetics will be making a comeback for Overwatch's second anniversary. According to the game's official Twitter account, all the brawls and cosmetics will be made available starting 22 May 2018.

Overwatch will be a healthy 24 month old toddler next Tuesday, 22 May 2018 and Blizzard is putting a new event with a new Deathmatch map and a pile of new cosmetic items for sale. On top of the new content, Blizzard will be bringing the old time-limited content out of the vault, which means both Seasonal Brawls and old cosmetics are coming back for another round of sales.

There will be 50 new cosmetic items, and 11 of them are skins including Pirate Junkrat and Winter Wonder Roadhog. Both of these skins, along with a whole wagon of other Junkrat and Roadhog skins can be seen in the teaser posted on Overwatch's official Twitter.

These two will not be the only two heroes whose legacy cosmetics will be available though - players will be able to get any seasonal cosmetics they missed out on previously. Prices haven't been confirmed yet so it's unknown if there will be any discounts on the returning cosmetics but every players that logs in during the event will get one legendary loot box for free.

Blizzard will also be hosting another free weekend, which is going to be running from 25 through 28 May 2018 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. All of the 27 heroes and 18 maps will be available for the players who will be trying the game out. Leveling up and earning loot boxes will be enabled for the testing players, and all progress will carry over if they decide to purchase the game afterwards.

Petra is a new Deathmatch map that will debut during the anniversary celebration and it will only be available for this game mode. Considering that Blizzard are introducing a competitive Deathmatch mode with its own leaderboards, the anniversary event may be the prime time to hop in and test the new map.
