Rockstar Games have announced that the third trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 will air on 02 May 2018, This trailer will be available on the official Rockstar Games website and YouTube channel at 4PM GMT and 11AM EST for Europe and NA.

Rockstar Games have confirmed the date and time on their official Twitter account, with a GIF teaser that you can see here. This is the third trailer so far and fans are hoping it will involve actual gameplay, instead of focusing on the game's cinematic side like the previous two.

Not everyone is so convinced though, as Rockstar Games seem to follow a pattern of releasing the first gameplay trailers about two months prior to the game's release. This would mean the first gameplay trailer should land at some point in July 2018 since Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to release on 26 October 2018 after numerous delays. The game will be available on PS4 and Xbox One.

Considering that GTA V had two cinematic trailers and then Rockstar released "GTA V: Michael, Franklin, Trevor", it is likely that Red Dead Redemption 2 will receive the same treatment. The first two trailers were snippets that featured mostly Arthur Morgan and gave some screen time to Dutch, who appeared in the first game as well, and other gang members. The third trailer might be there to offer more insight into each one of them.

There should be no more delays however as Strauss Zelnick, the CEO of Rockstar's parent company Take-Two Interactive stated that he is confident that the game will not be delayed again. According to Zelnick, it is Rockstar's focus on "delivering the highest quality entertainment experiences of any kind". Apparently this involves releasing a title and focusing on its microtransactions for the next five years.

Fans who are itching for the sandbox wild west action can only sate it by booting up a copy of Red Dead Redemption that was updated for Xbox One X. This may not be the optimal choice but it has higher resolution and more visual improvements in general.
