We may not be talking about the latest and greatest in gaming but we're not talking about paying games here either. Namely, Sony have revealed their freebie PS Plus lineup for May 2018, including Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends.

Of course, we're mostly looking at five year old games, all of them launching on PlayStation 3. Nevertheless, we're not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, so let's move onto the list.

In case you're not familiar with Beyond: Two Souls, it's a game by director David Cage and Quantic Dream, the same studio behind the upcoming Detroit: Become Human.

The game was notable for the developer's insistence on accurate capturing of live action performances by Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, which gave the game a movie-like feel. To be fair, this same characteristic drew criticism from some gamers, as players felt overly passive while playing. But hey - it's still free.

Rayman Legends is a well known name in the world of platformers and if you've never played it, you owe it to yourself not to miss this opportunity. The game launched back in 2013 to great critical acclaim, even though it's still uncertain how his limbs connect to the rest of his body. Must be Joe Pesci, eh?

Risen 3: Titan Lords is the third freebie and we're talking about an action rpg hybrid that launched back in 2014. The game may not have had the critical success developer Piranha Bytes and publisher Deep Silver had hoped for but it's well worth checking out.

Eat Them! is a game by FluffyLogic that features a beatiful cel shaded art style. It's said to be a spiritual successor to Rampage, if that's your cup of tea. The game does look pretty sleek considering it's a 2010 release.

The remaining two May freebies are King Oddball and Furmins, both of which originally developed for Sony's PS Vita. If you're willing to check them out, you can find them via Sony's official announcement page along with the rest of the pack.
