Feral Interactive have announced today that Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration edition will be coming to macOS on 12 April 2018. This is basically a mouthful version for the Definitive Edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is the sequel to the Tomb Raider from 2013 which was a series reboot itself. Players will take control of Lara Croft once again for this sequel as she goes on her regular archaeology business, such as rock climbing and crypt crawling. On a side note, she will also be trying to find the lost city of Kitezh in order to recover an artefact named Divine Source that can grant immortality. Lara will have to contend for it with Trinity, a secretive organisation with vast resources.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration is a bundle that puts the base game together with the released DLC in a single package. It appears that the base game is no longer obtainable on Steam, as the 20 Year Celebration package replaced it. The season pass is still available though, likely to be an option for the players who already have the base game but not all of the DLC.

The 20 Year Celebration edition was already available for some PC owners but Linux and macOS users had to wait a bit longer. Come 12 April 2018, macOS players will get to enjoy Lara's most recent adventure which seems to be one of the better entries in the franchise as it received generally favourable reviews, with 93 per cent positive reviews on Steam.

Now, as far as the system requirements go, the game will be supported on all 13" MacBook Pros released since 2016, 15" MacBook Pros released since late 2013 with at least a 2.3GHz processor. iMacs with 27" screens that were released in late 2014 are not officially supported if they have an Nvidia GT 755M graphics card. As far as Mac Pros go, all the devices released since late 2013 are also supported, as well as some late 2012 models that included a 2GB Nvidia 680MX graphics card.

The game will take up 27GB of your hard drive if acquired on Steam but it will require 37GB if bought on Mac App Store. There is also a small dedicated 20th Anniversary site with more info and media about the game.
