League of Legends' roster of spices for ruining AD carries' lives will be expanded as soon as Irelia's rework takes place. Her abilities seem to be focusing on disabling auto attack reliant champions and reflecting damage on them.
Riot Games are refreshing the game's formidable champion roster once again, by reworking Irelia. She has just popped up on PBE server and her ability details seem to point towards yet another AD carry killer.
Irelia's passive is called Ionian Fervor and it gains stacks as she hits enemies with her abilities. Each stack increases Irelia's basic attack damage and when she reaches 4 stacks, Ionian Fervor will also grant her additional attack speed.
On top of it all, fully stacked Ionian Fervor deals triple damage to enemy shields. The duration of the passive is refreshed each time Irelia attacks an enemy champion and abilities grant multiple stacks if they hit multiple champions.
Her Q ability is the only active one that retains the old name - Bladesurge. It behaves almost in the same manner as before the rework. She dashes to an enemy, and applies on-hit effects but now also heals some of her health. This is because healing from her previous W and R abilities was removed. If her dash kills an enemy or hits a marked one, its cooldown is refreshed.
Irelia's W is now called Defiant Dance and it puts her into a defensive stance where she is unable to act. During the ability's duration, Irelia gains damage reduction and a stack of Ionian Fervor. Once you cast it again, the defensive stance ends and you deal damage based on how long you were immobile. Defiant Dance cannot be interrupted.
Flawless Duet is her E now, and by using it Irelia chooses where to place two blades on the ground. When she reactivates it, the blades fly to each other, deal damage and stun any enemies caught between them. It also marks champions and large monsters.
The new ultimate is called Vanguard's Edge and by using it, Irelia launches a storm of blades that explode outward once they hit a champion. They deal magic damage and mark champions and large monsters. These blades form a shaped cage and when an enemy champion walks through them, they get damaged, slowed and disarmed. Disarm is a new form of crowd control that disables auto attacks.
