Bigben Interactive and Kylotonn Racing Games have decided to resurrect the ancient V-Rally franchise with a fourth installment in the series, which is slated for launch in September 2018. Almost thought it was a remaster.
This means that come September 2018, the V-Rally franchise will have been dormant for 15 years, which completely justifies our usage of "ancient". However, there will be nothing ancient about this game, seeing as it's in pretty good hands.
Namely, the game is being developed by Kylotonn Racing Games, the dev behind FlatOut 4: Total Insanity and WRC 6 FIA World Rally Championship, both of which were published by Bigben Interactive.
V-Rally 4 will bring 50 different vehicle models, including both off road beasts and some more contemporary classics, such as Porsche 911 and the Mustang. While this means you'll be pimping your ride in no time, there's no word whether we'll be seeing micro transactions.

Kylotonn's game director Alain Jarniuou said that he always had a special connection to the V Rally franchise, seeing as how he was a programmer in the team that developed V-Rally 3 for the PlayStation 2.
The devs said V-Rally 4 will feature Online and Career modes and apart from the standard Rally mode, with tracks from "Africa to Sequoia Park and Japan", there will be other mods as well.
Namely, Extreme-Khana will be about precision and drifting, whereas V-Rally Cross will pit you against 7 expert challengers on dirt and asphalt tracks. Also listed are Buggy and Hillclimb modes, which need no explanation really.
The game is coming out in September for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
