Guerrila Games' Horizon: Zero Dawn has had one heck of a year, with the game selling 7.6 million copies and the company's celebratory video has world plus dog heaping praise on Aloy's story, world, graphics and pretty much everything else.
Aloy's birthday video shows just how big of an impact the game made on PlayStation 4 players worldwide, with game developers and fans alike equally falling in love with Horizon: Zero Dawn.
It was pretty interesting seeing Hideo Kojima, the Metal Gear messiah, lavishing praise on the game's design and features, with the same enthusiasm as some less famous fans of the game. Okay, maybe not really like all of them.
Guerilla Games also rolled out the Horizon: Zero Dawn infographic that provides insight into some gaming habits of the its player base. Aloy decided against fighting Nil in 54 per cent of cases, which isn't as great as the previous metric, and most certainly not as wise, especially considering he may help you later on. Oh well.
Unfortunately for poor little Sawtooths and even poorer and littler Thunderjaws, there is no robotic PETA in the future, and Horizon: Zero Dawn players have hunted down 20.9 and 18.2 million of them, respectively.
Guerilla Games already announced the new discounts avatars and photo mode theme, which we covered back when Horizon: Zero Dawn broke 7.6 million copies sold. You can find our review of Aloy's adventures here.
