Epic's Fortnite: Battle Royale has been getting better in leaps and bounds lately, most notably the Twitch leap and bound over poor League of Legends and PUBG, and the new mod only spells more misery for the competition.

A keen observer's eye of a reddit user caught the announcement in the game screen, where Epic seems to announce that the new Fortnite mod will be "coming soon".

Now we didn't have as much luck in replicating the given message in our Fortnite: Battle Royale escapades, but let's face it - even if someone did actually fake it, it's still bound to happen. It seems simple enough on a development level and it makes mouthwatering sense after assessing the fun potential barometer.

That's not to say that Epic's been packing Fortnite: Battle Royale with everything but the kitchen sink, far from it. The company's been clever in their growth and implementation of potentially gamebreaking mechanics and in that respect, PUBG developers could really learn a thing or two.

You may recall the Fortnite's 50v50 mode being pretty sweet, although it did get somewhat stale after a while. Most of the time, initial advantage would snowball into a bigger one and regardless of the extent of John Wick style heroics you may pull out of your behind - your team is smoked, son.

Now however, we'll looking at a more balanced map in Fortnite: Battle Royale, with multiple in-game factions of sorts. On simple mathematical level, the advantages should not snowball as much - they're more likely to go up and down for everyone.

In conclusion, Epic's decision to add this mode to Fortnite: Battle Royale seems to be a sure shot into PUBG's corpse and at this point, we seriously wonder whether there's even a theoretical fun cap on Epic's survival title.
