After teasing Emre Sarioglu and Dr Harold, Blizzard have doubled down on Operation White Dome. This time, we got a letter sent by an injured Torbjorn to his pregnant wife. The letter informs her that Reinhardt will be the girl's godfather.

Last week, Overwatch's Twitter account teased us with a summary of a declassified mission report filed by Ana. Operation White Dome also involved Lieutenant Reinhardt Wilhelm, Chief Engineer Torbjorn Lindholm and Private First Class Emre Sarioglu.

Naturally, everyone freaked out at the inclusion of a new name, one that hasn't appeared in the Overwatch lore until now. The summary only mentions Sarioglu once, before going on to give more detail about Torbjorn's injuries.

We learned from the report that Reinhardt saved Torbjorn, but the weekend brought news about what happened after they returned to the Overwatch HQ. The news came in the form of Torbjorn's letter to his pregnant wife.

In his letter, Torbjorn informs his wife that he is well and that his, now missing, arm is soon to be replaced with a "suitable prosthesis that will make everyone forget that it was ever gone".  We all know how that turned out.

The rest of the letter gives us more information about his wife's condition, i.e. she hasn't gone into labour yet and they are expecting a baby girl. Torbjorn goes on to inform Ingrid that he jokingly offered Reinhardt a chance to name their daughter.

Reinhardt accepted, of course, and Torbjorn reveals that he'd been considering making him the girl's godfather. The unborn daughter almost certainly grows up to be Brigitte Lindholm, the girl who showed up in Reinhardt's recent cinematic, Honor and Glory.

We know Blizzard likes to show us an upcoming hero long before they actually join the game's roster, so this is not too far fetched. Add to that the fact that Moira was the latest hero and, as we've learned from her origin story cinematic, she isn't a big fan of Overwatch.

That said, we might be overdue for a hero who sympathises the organisation. Here is Torbjorn's letter in its entirety.
