Fortnite: Battle Royale's construction system is already a big bag of fun but Epic decided to make it even better in v3.0 with automatic material selection, turbo building and more. Build it and they will come.
I have to admit - I rarely build. Which is why I rarely win. I still win though, but the amount of times I've lost to some clueless hippie turned galactic engineer would discourage an average Trump supporter from making 'murica great again. Epic obviously wants to make it worse, but in this case, I'm all for it.
Come version 3.0, players will will be Turbo Building, i.e. building objects by simply holding down the mouse button. Even though it may be taxing on resources, we do admit this feature may just grant you the defensive capabilities of a tank armoured with other tanks.
Materials will automatically swap once you run out and we'll be able to build through stuff as well, in a sense. Namely, when small objects get in the way, construction is blocked, but in v3.0, they will just be destroyed. Of course, trees, vehicles and rocks will still block your magnificent architectural achievements and shoddy palisades alike.
The Fortnite team said they allowed building through large objects, meaning you can build anywhere. Some clients had difficulties selecting building pieces when using controllers, so the guys were forced to feed the hamster. Thankfully, the hamster quit slacking off and the lag is no more.
With world plus dog fighting to be described as PUBG killer just to be seen next to it, we've got to say Epic's Fortnite: Battle Royale seems like it's the only one actually capable of it at this time. However, with the two distinct niches each game satisfies, I somehow see neither of the two leaving the stage anytime soon.
