Path of Exile was praised as a great isometric action looter RPG ever since it was released in 2013 as an Early Access game, and over the years Grinding Gear Games improved its longevity through multiple expansions that added a wide array of new content and the latest update is no different.
Unlike the giant of the genre Diablo 3 that had a rocky start and only gained traction in its later years, Path of Exile seemed to hit the spot from the very beginning. Grinding Gear Games kept giving fans something new to work with over and over, and the upcoming Bestiary update is definitely something new as well.
Come 2 March 2018, It will give players the ability and objectives to capture monsters instead of killing them, for multiple reasons. The Bestiary Challenge League will require you to capture monsters and store them in your own instance called Menagerie. In this instance you will be able to show what you caught to your friends and different NPCs will give you info about the League and challenges laid before you.

It's not just going to be a monster gallery. You can use the monsters you find to craft armour, and the rare beasts you capture will allow for better gear. You can also improve your weapons by sacrificing monsters and their parts at the Menageries' blood altar. This wonderful process is called Beastcrafting, and it will summon Lucif- umm powerful monster bosses that have to be defeated.
The update doesn't only add new content, it also brings fixes, quality of life updates, balance changes and revamps of Ascendancy classes. Returning players will also find some changes to the Atlas as well. This update will basically add challenge mode to the nodes you previously completed that will allow you to loot new items and fight higher difficulty monsters.
Apparently Grinding Gear Games have added a boss that they themselves couldn't beat yet. It remains to be seen whether players will manage to best it or if it will have to be toned down in the future.
