The Six Invitational 2018 is Rainbow Six Siege's biggest event and the pinnacle of the game's competitive scene. It is already in full swing as the group stage started on 13 February 2018 but the main event starts this weekend.
This is the big one for Rainbow 6 Siege. Both the community and the competitive scene have grown and this is reflected in the tournament's prize pool which is now £357.000,00. This is more than double compared to last year's £142.800,00.
The best Sixteen teams worldwide are already battling it out, but only eight will remain for the knockout rounds scheduled for the weekend. Should you tune in on Twitch, make sure you link your Twitch and Ubisoft accounts in order to redeem in-game rewards for watching the stream. You can link the accounts here.
In order to qualify for the rewards you will need to tune in on 45th minute of the stream each day for its respective reward but for Gold, Platinum and Diamond charms you will either need to do some legwork or let your PC do it for you while you go out grocery shopping. In order to get those, you will need to accumulate 4 for Gold, 8 for Platinum and 18 hours for Diamond on the Invitational's stream.
On top of the eSports scene, there will also be announcement revealing Operation Chimera's new CBRN operators Finka and Lion during the Saturday stream and Operation Outbreak info and gameplay reveal on Sunday.
Operation Chimera's reveal is planned for 20:45 GMT on 17 February 2018, and Operation Outbreak's moment of spotlight is expected to land at 18:00 PM 18 February 2018. Bear in mind these times are subject to change as they are placed between matches that do not have a fixed length. The Grand Final should start at around 19:30 GMT on 18 February 2018.
