Fatshark's Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will launch for the PC in early March. The release date for consoles will be announced "shortly". The game's beta will kick off on 28 February 2018.
Fatshark's Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will launch for the PCs of the world on 08 March 2018. The game that shares its name with the two things parents are most afraid of nowadays will be coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well. The release date for consoles will be announced "shortly".
Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, said, "Being passionate fans of the Warhammer IP, we’ve always wanted to create a Warhammer sequel that both stayed true to the beautifully dark atmosphere of the world but also brought new ideas and experiences for players. It’s been years of work but on March 8th we look forward to joining forces with players everywhere to defend Helmgart from evil."
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will have a beta before it rolls out. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can sign up for the beta for the low low price of one e-mail address*. The PC crowd will have to have pre-ordered their copy in order to gain access**. The beta will start on 28 February 2018.
Jesper Kyd, the musician who worked on Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide's soundtrack has come back to do the same for its upcoming sequel. The press release says that Kyd, inspired by Norse mythology, "explores ancient tribal music and dark magic fantasy elements as well as evolving the raw acoustic soundscape he developed for the first game"
"Kyd channels his Scandinavian roots, blending Viking and Norse-inspired vocals, ritualistic percussion styles and new custom-made instruments built specifically for Vermintide 2, to create another unique soundtrack experience" concludes the press release.
