Dissidia Final Fantasy NT's open beta is on its final character rotation. The Crown Prince Noctis from Final Fantasy XV has joined the playable roster.
The Crown Prince has a unique Warp ability that lets him woosh around the battlefield and ambush his foes. When Noctis' health gets too low for comfort, his Armiger will activate. The Armiger can summon his Royal Arms in order to do some bonus damage.
The full list of characters that'll be available from now until 21:00 GMT on 21 January looks like this:
- Vanguard: Garland, Cloud of Darkness, Cloud, Sephiroth
- Assassin: Squall, Zidane, Jecht, Noctis
- Marksman: Kefka, Ultimecia, Shantotto, Ace
- Specialist: Onion Knight, Bartz, Ramza
Open beta matchmaking is available to all players, and you don't need a PlayStation Plus membership to participate. The features that the beta offers include ranked online matches, an offline single player mode as well as "treasure". Goodie.
In addition to Standard, Day One, Digital Deluxe and SteelBook Editions, Square Enix is offering up one more. The Ultimate Collector’s Edition packs a Warrior of Light bust figure, a 15-track soundtrack, an 84-page artbook, special Final Fantasy Trading Card Game cards and a season pass*. We still don't know if they'll throw the base game into the mix.
The season pass from the Collector’s Edition will grant its holder access to six new playable characters and some post-launch content.
Dissidia Final Fantasy NT will be available for the PlayStation 4 on 30 January, 2018.
*AltChar strongly advises caution when buying these kinds of Editions.
