Star Wars Battlefront 2's progression system updated again. Top-tier heroes such as Darth Vader and Leia Organa now cost less credits to unlock. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will launch properly at 11:00 PM GMT on Thursday, 16 November.
Star Wars Battlefront 2's progression system has been reworked once more. The latest change has made the high-end hero characters easier to obtain. How much easier? 75 percent.
Look now, DICE cut the unlock costs of iconic characters like Luke Skywalker and daddy dearest Darth Vader by 75 percent. The two will now cost you 15,000 credits each. If you wish to fight as Emperor Palpatine, Chewbacca, or Leia Organa, that'll set you back 10,000 credits. Iden is available at 5,000 credits.
John Wasilczyk, Executive Producer at DICE took the time to explain: "Unlocking a hero is a great accomplishment in the game, something we want players to have fun earning. We used data from the beta to help set those levels, but it’s clear that more changes were needed."
Mr Wasilczyk added: "Based on what we’ve seen in the trial, this amount will make earning these heroes an achievement, but one that will be accessible for all players."
A similar update was made a couple of weeks ago when Epic Star Cards were removed from the fan-favourite loot crates. The same loot crates can be bought by using the in-game credits acquired through play or by buying Crystals for real money.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will launch properly on Friday, 17 November. The game's Standard Edition will cost £55 on Origin. If you have some extra cash just lying around, could you please let me know how that feels.
Also, there's the £70 Elite Trooper Deluxe Edition that grants you up to three days of early access. AltChar still doesn't condone pre-orders of any kind.
