All five of the third generation ghost-type Pokemon have been added to Pokemon Go as part of this year's Halloween event. Over 130 Pokemon are scheduled to make an appearance in Pokemon Go sometime in the future. The Halloween event ends on 02 November.

Happy Halloween! If shiny, third generation ghost-type Pokemon were something you asked for this year, you must have been very good (or bad, it is Halloween).

Whatever the case may be, all five of the third generation ghost-type Pokemon have been added to the game as part of the Pokemon Go Halloween event. Everyone is wearing their shiny costume, of course.

Pokemon Go players around the globe have reported sightings of shiny Shuppets and Banettes out in the wild. Both Shuppet and Banette have pale blue skin in their shiny form, instead of their usual grey skins.

The two have joined Duskull, Dusclops, and Sableye. Now all you need to do is catch them. That's going to be the real test. If you accomplish that, you might just be the very best. I'll stop.

Seriously now, the shiny status of the Pokemon will make them tricky to find and capture. The latest batch of shiny Pokemon joins an ever expanding group Niantic has been introducing to the game since the shiny form of Magikarp showed up during the Water Festival event in March.

Some time after that, shiny versions of Pichu, Pikachu, and Raichu were also added, bringing the total number of shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Go up to 10. Pokemon Go's popularity did subside during the recent months but Niantic will probably try to convince some of the players to come back using the shiny Pokemon as an irresistible lure.

Over 130 Pokemon are scheduled to make an appearance in Pokemon Go sometime in the future, but no firm timeline has been given for a full release. In addition to the new Ghost-Type Pokemon appearing in mass quantities for the next few days, certain Ghost-Type and Dark-Type Pokemon are also spawning more often.

Pokemon Go is also doubling the amount of candies that players receive from catching, hatching, and transferring Pokemon during the Halloween season. Finally, players can also take advantage of some nice discounts during the Halloween event.

The Halloween event ends on 02 November. We can no doubt expect a rise in the "shiny population" with every major event scheduled to occur in the game. That means you have an entire Holiday season to look forward to.
