Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is the sixth PlayStation exclusive to debut at number one this year. Crash Bandicoot fell to number three. F1 2017 and Madden NFL 18 both debuted in the top five, almost matching sales of last year’s editions.
This week's chart for the best selling entertainment software is here and boy, does it have some new faces. The Bandicoot, who had ruled these charts for seven weeks, has been replaced. Good thing too, I was running out of his photos to put in these articles. Activision's Crash fell to number three and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy was quick to take its place.
And when I say quick I mean quick. The game was released last Wednesday and it is now the sixth PlayStation exclusive to debut at number one this year. The other five are Horizon Zero Dawn, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Persona 5, Wipeout Omega Collection and Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age.
This week we have another new launch at number two: Codemasters’ F1 2017. Crash Bandicoot didn't go very far, as he is currently at number three.
Madden NFL 18 launched on 25 August and is now at number four of our chart. Both F1 2017 and Madden NFL 18 performed pretty well, almost matching the sales of the last year’s editions.
The rest of the top ten is filled with familiar titles: number five has been claimed by Grand Theft Auto V, and Dishonored 2 stayed at number 7. Rainbow Six Siege fell to number nine even though it had a free weekend and the new Operation is just around the bend.
