Just Cause 3 is free on Steam up until 28 July 2017. A fan-made multiplayer mod for the game arrived on Steam a few days ago. Might the free trial and sale be a coincidence?
Just Cause 3 has sold around 1,3 million copies on PC, if SteamSpy is anything to go by. Quite decent PC sales for a title that was primarily focused on a console audience. The game is free to test-fly/ride/grapple up until 28 July 2017.
Guessing that the free trial, and sale that goes with it, has something to do with the recent Steam release of the game's multiplayer fan mod might not be too far off.
There is no way of knowing whether the people at Nanos GbR have anything to do with the sale, or if they will be making any money off of it, but there is only one way to find out, so AltChar has asked and will let you know.
Just Cause 3 is available at a 75 per cent discount with Steam for roughly £9 at the time of writing, and the free trial is an ideal way to figure out whether grappling hook action in a highly explosive sandbox is your thing.
