Pokemon: Magikarp Jump is a mobile game about Magikarp. Go figure. In addition to Magikarp, there are some Support Pokemon who grant various handy power-ups available for purchase with diamonds or obtainable for free upon completing a certain League.

Pokemon: Magikarp Jump is a mobile game about the Pokemon who is "pathetically weak, unreliable, and generally useless". Moreover, it can't learn any powerful moves and it sometimes jumps too high in the sky and gets taken by Pidgeotto. Even though it's a game about one of, if not the weakest Pokemon ever, it has found its home in the smartphones around the world.

Now, this being a game about Magikarp, there are some items you can collect, that grant you some assistance in the form of a Support Pokemon. The diamond shop offers a lot of these friendship items, but they will cost you diamonds. Here are some items that you'll get for zero diamonds, if you complete various Leagues.

For example, if you beat the Friend League, you will get Pikachu. He will then grant you a certain amount of Jump Points, based on your level. Pikachu will do so every hour and a half. If you beat the Quick League, you'll get an Amulet Coin, I mean Meowth, and for a sacked Luxury League your reward will be the Miracle Seed, or as it's more commonly known, Bulbasaur. Meowth and Bulbasaur's skills and recovery times are still to be announced.

The Support Pokemon can be upgraded using Support Candy. This Candy can be obtained by purchasing Training and Berry upgrades, or by winning League battles.

Yearning to see what your Diamonds can get you in terms of Support Pokemon?

Lets see, for 250 Diamonds you'll get Flame Plate (Litten), who awards you with some JP every three and a half hours, plus it's upgradable with the Support Candy. If you choose to spend 350 Diamonds on a Damp Rock (Slowpoke), one random skill belonging to another Support Pokemon will be recovered every 12 hours. I can see where this Pokemon got his name.

Moving on, 450 Diamonds will get you Meadow Plate (Rowlet) who is also upgradable and grants you "lots of coins" every four hours. Want to spend 500 diamonds on a single Support Pokemon? Then you can choose between Splash Plate (Popplio) who drops sunken treasure every seven hours and Leftovers (Snorlax) who provides x10 food every 50 minutes. I know which one I'd pick.

Food. It's always food.

And finally, for 600 diamonds you'll get "a great item" including a Purse of Coins, a Sack of Coins, a Training Soda, one Power Up, a LP Restore and a Skill Restore.

Pokémon: Magikarp Jump is available on iTunes and on Google Play Store. What so you think about Magikarp Jump? What Support Pokemon would you spend your diamonds on?
