Sledgehammer held a live stream in which they confirmed that the Battle of the Bulge will be a part of their upcoming Call of Duty: WWII. The stream also showed how they are planning to bring the characters to life.

On the off chance you missed yesterday's "Making of Call of Duty" live stream, never fret as I'm here to tell you what went down. First of all, it has been confirmed that the Battle of the Bulge will be a part of the upcoming Call of Duty game set in WWII.

The game's developer, Sledgehammer, mentioned the importance of capturing the authenticity of the era.

That said, it's a no-brainer to conclude that the event touted as the key turning point in the conflict will be making an appearance. A big chunk of the half hour presentation focused on the game's atmosphere, and detailed the process of motion capturing live actors on a soundstage.

You'd think they're making a movie! Which they, kind of, are. Well they are trying to, at the least. The team wants to make a video game form of a cinematic blockbuster. With Fergie's husband, Josh Duhamel. Wait, are they still together? No need to google that, I just did and yes they are. Props to those two.

The stream even featured interviews with the actors explaining the artistic process of performing without props or backgrounds. That must be hard. It made Sir Ian McKellen cry.

To hammer home their commitment to bring us a historically accurate game, Sledgehammer explained their decision to have female soldiers in the trenches right alongside their male counterparts.

They said: "after doing a lot of research on the French resistance, they had a lot of female fighters". No comment was made on how many episodes of 'Allo 'Allo! they had to watch before coming to this conclusion. I wonder if they realise that that was just René in pantyhose.

Other confirmations made during the steam include a part of the game that will be based on the invasion of Normandy, and the return of the fan-favourite zombies game mode.

Call of Duty: WWII is set to launch on 03 November and it can be pre-ordered right now on Steam for £44.99.
