Second time's the charm: Prey now sits at the top of the UK sales chart

After the reviews for Bethesda's Prey came out last week, the game has seen an increase in sales, landing it at the top of last week's UK sales chart. The rest of the top ten looks very familiar with no new releases.

Bethesda's latest sci-fi game ended its first week at the second place on the UK sales chart. This week, Prey moved up the ladder and came in first. The reason for this might be that the game didn't have a PC demo when it came out and people waited for some reviews before spending £39.99 on it.

This week, however, some of the reviews have come out and people can now make an informed decision. Physical sales did drop 32 percent in the second week but if you take into consideration that this number can be as high as 75 percent, it's good news for this title.

Bethesda didn't have a game at number 1 since Fallout 4 came out in 2015.

Last week's chart-topper, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe found its new home at number three following a 60 percent drop in sales due in part to the fact it is a Nintendo Switch exclusive.

Second spot on the chart goes to none other than Grand Theft Auto V. Seriously, it feels like that game has been among the top ten ever since it came out. Good job Rockstar Games! People just love psychopaths with access to a wide range of firearms.

That's the top three. At number four, there's GTA V's companion FIFA 17. Rocket League and Lego Worlds traded places since last week, with Rocket now on number five. Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare fell from number four to number seven, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands broke into the top ten again, landing on number eight.

Horizon: Zero Dawn kept its number nine spot and The Legend of Zelda: BotW finished the week at number ten.
