Big Box VR and Archiact are bringing Smashbox Arena to PlayStation VR. This version will see the light of day sometime this summer, and it will come out in North America, Europe and Japan simultaneously.

BigBox VR launched Smashbox Arena for HTC Vive. The multiplayer arrived to Oculus Rift back in March, and the cross-play support came with it. This summer will see Smashbox Arena on PlayStation VR. Though the PS VR version will not be supported by the cross-platform gameplay.

Smasbox Arena is a team-based first-person shooter that features physic-driven power-ups with a too-much gene. That means, they are over a certain top, you see. You can engage in an all-out shootout with the opposing team, make parties with your friends or get matched with people from across the world.

Coexisting with the multiplayer, there is a singleplayer story mode. The lonesome option has three difficulty levels for you to choose from. By completing the difficulty levels you win customization options for the characters.

BigBox VR co-founder, Gabe Brown said that they have collaborated with Archiact to bring us the PlayStation 4 VR version of Smasbox Arena.

He said "We’ve spent months growing and engaging with one of the most fun-loving and tight-knit community of players in VR yet. Together we’ve clocked well over 43,000 hours of gameplay, over 2 million knockouts and even set records at VR arcades as the #1 played game with close to 1,000 hours a month of gameplay."

The VR game will also be featured at CVR 2017 from 05 May to 07 May. Atendees will get a chance to play an exclusive preview build on PS VR.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game will be released in summer of 2017, and it will hit North America, Europe, and Japan at the same time.
