After four weeks and 15 strech goals the first phase Deadfire's crowdfunding campaign was more than successful

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire has completed its initial funding run securing 400% of its original $1.1 goal. The backer to Fig investor ratio has almost entirely evened out. Since it is never wise to actually close a crowdfunding campaign, you can still pledge as a slacker backer.

The final days of the Fig campaign have brought player ship types, customisation and upgrades into the game, as well as a talking weapon and chinese localisation. The chinese just love helping fund traditional western RPG-s.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire is set to release in early 2018. Obsidian Entertainment will most likely spend the weekend celebrating.
